Welcome, I’m so glad you made it here.
I’m Laura Greenwood, a Yorkshire-based psychotherapist with over 18 years’ experience supporting mental health and wellbeing, including more than a decade within the NHS. I have a lifelong passion around understanding the unique and common psychological patterns and challenges we face as human beings, and I make it part of my mission to help you overcome those. I work with individuals and families who want to move beyond simply coping and start living with greater calm, self-assurance, self-trust and self-love.
At the heart of my work is the belief that lasting change happens when you feel truly understood. I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach to treatment, and every evidence based plan is suited, to your needs and goals.
Alongside my own clinical practice, I lead a team of experienced psychotherapists, each with their own specialisms, so we can provide tailored, evidence-based support to meet you where you are.

Becoming a parent is a profound identity shift; one that nothing and nobody can truly prepare you for. I work with mothers and fathers through fertility, pregnancy, the postnatal period, and beyond, supporting you to navigate this transition from a place of strength rather than struggle.
Whether you’re finding fertility, pregnancy, or the postnatal period challenging, adjusting to the identity shift of parenthood, or carrying longer-standing emotional or trauma-related difficulties, you don’t have to face it alone. Together, we can help you feel more grounded, more like yourself, and better able to live a life that feels meaningful, aligned, and true to who you are.
Trauma and Emotional Regulation
Trauma isn’t only about major life events. It can also live in the patterns and responses we carry, especially those that no longer serve us. I support clients in understanding and working through these patterns using CBT, EMDR, and other evidence-based approaches, so they can move toward the life they truly long for.
Beyond Therapy
Alongside psychotherapy, I also provide:

- Workplace wellbeing programmes to support parent and carer employees

I’m passionate about transforming how we support parents and families.
When parents and families are supported more effectively, we’re able to break old generational patterns around wellbeing and how we live and lead, for our children and for the generations to come.

Outside of my professional life, I’m a mother, wife, friend, and lover of life’s simple joys:
I’m a self-identified ambivert: I love company that deeply enriches my life, and I also cherish my quiet time. Life doesn’t require us to fit a single mould; the beauty lies in our individuality and in the choices we make each day.
